Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US and is a Greek-American author, syndicated columnist and a businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, author, philanthropist, television host, and also the proprietor of The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece Arianna Huffington immigrated to England together with her family around age 16. While at Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. The famous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it when she was 21. The success of her columnist of the conservative side was confirmed after she finished her degree. With the introduction of The Huffington Post a few year later, she established an online platform for voice that gave critical opinions on the political situation. The celebrity she enjoyed enabled her to get a variety of famous people to share their opinions regarding current affairs, the as well as politics and culture. Though she was close to her father, it was the relationship she shared with her mother that formed her entire life. In her earliest years she displayed leadership qualities which are still widely admired. As a 16-year-old the girl moved to the United Kingdom for her higher education. In Girton College Cambridge.
