Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actress director, producer, playwright, teacher, and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain, while her mother is an "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's early memories include attending play rehearsals and watching her mother's work. Anna was a part of numerous commercials as a young child. Anna moved to Toronto in 1999 to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at a Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her partner in 2009. Anna, who had converted to Judaism at the time and Seth Cooperman got married in December 2010 in Fredericton. In April 2011 the couple renew their vows in the traditional Jewish ceremony. Bo's sex-related relationship together with Lauren (played Zoie Palermo) was featured in CNN as one of the top TV Couples. E! named the couple "the most popular television Couple" in 2013.
