Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. Her modelling career began in Italy in Italy, where she was raised and born in California. In 1996 she made her first appearance as an actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get an appearance for her in Starship Troopers. The transition was difficult for Amy as she had change from modeling to performing. Models aren't considered great actors and so tend to get smaller, insignificant roles. Yet, somehow Amy refused to give up and transitioned to more prestigious roles. It all started with the show The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also included Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform larger role. Amy finally got the recognition she'd been seeking for over a decade. Amy went on to star in major film projects such as the Crank Series alongside Jason Statham, and Shameless.
