
Stephanie Sigman, a Mexican-American actress. Her debut role was in the film Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film Miss Bala. She went on to appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) as well as Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman was a major character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both shows. Sigman was born to a Mexican mother and an American dad, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. Through her father, Sigman is an U.S. citizen. [2][3][4] The father of her, former baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She began her career in Mexican television before she made her debut on film in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she portrayed the lead character of Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. [6] The film was nominated for the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8The film, however, didn't make the final list. (9) Sigman was awarded a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in recognition of her work as film critic in 2011.
